hi all I'm taking over my dads shop at the end of this year and I'm looking at getting a van to advertise the business, there is a mk 2 escort van around my way for a local plumber which as old school sign writing on the side and everyone knows it, so this has given me the idea for it. usual thing that money is tight so i will be restoring it myself, so what ideas have you all got

What kind of shop - does it need to be a big van ie transit sized or will a smaller van do, ie escort/astra...
is it needed for carrying load sof heavy stuff or just promo work and the odd light delivery???

You need a hearse, ideal for a tattooist i reckon, can't fail to get noticed and possible to make into a mobile studio i would think, mine had loads of room in it.

How about a Morris Marina/ Ital van. That's what I ended up with after deciding that Escorts were too expensive. There's an ex-Telecom one on Pistonheads classifieds I think....

I reckon for usefulness and advertising to everyone (not just retro fans) then you won't get better than a good old Moggy, I reckon. Cheap to run, cheap to insure, plentiful parts supply, numerous specialist, tons of upgrades and everybody loves 'em.
