No, it was done by a company called PTS. All mounts, hoses, even the radiator housing, are custom built for the car. I also have the Nissan 200SX gearbox and clutch and the first half of the prop. It's working very well at the moment - just got major suspension issues!

Lovely looking Celica fella, apart from that rear box. I think you need something more in keeping with the style, just needs a simple 3" exit IMO.

Engine has been specc'd and rated to 600bhp but I won't turn out over 350 as it'll kill the rest of the car. Currently running it in before tuning starts and will begin with safe tune of 220bhp. So at the moment I'm dawdling in it!
Si - no axle yet; the Aussie boys are pointing me at the Volvo but the 740/760 options are too wide, and the 242 and 264's are just non existant over here. Scratching my head a bit. I think I might just uprate the suspension for now and sort it when I break it! Still trying to find springs though... hmmm.

It's a full block machine and rebuild with uprated internals. I need to put together a speclist pretty soon so I'll drop it in here.
Cheers for all the props!

Hey everyone, thought I'd resurrect this thread because I'm back working on the car and I'd like some advice if possible!
1. Want to fit power windows; in the old days there used to be quite a few kits on eBay specifically for the TA22 Celica but not that I can find now... anyone recommend a good universal kit?
2. I am going to get the whole interior done - plan is to swap the seats with something low because of the runners (like Mazda MX-5 seats) and the reupholster the whole lot; also, stitching matching upholstery to the dash. Anyone recommend a company hopefully near Sussex who can do that as well (i.e. the dashboard work)? Also carpeting?
Probably more questions to follow... as for a project update, I've just uprated the whole suspension and am in the process of trying to find sympathetic aftermarket wheels, though the annoying PCD of 4*114.3 and the need for an offset of approx +8 is giving me very very few options.

Ive got SW20 MR2 seats in both of my celicas. they fit pretty well and look good. comfy too. cant help you with the electric windows, some GT's had electric windows but good luck trying to find any of those parts. i would modify a modern car winder if it was me?

Whoops - sorry Carl - was replying to previous message! That generic kit - I was worried that sort of thing wouldn't be up to the job. I am finding the manual winders very hard - I'm guessing they've seized up with age?

those MR2 seats are the same as the ones i have. they wont bolt in, you'll have to modify the rails but is not a big job. i just welded tabs onto the ends of the rails so there was something to bolt to the existing hole in the floor.
as for the windows, if its hard to wind up then the winder might have curse word itself. I'm not sure how to fix it but the guys on toymods (classic celica thread) will be able to help.
