Hey all, Just found out about this forum today from Jonny 69. I'm the one who's partly responsible for the pimped Riley but I'll post something on that thread about that. Thanks for all the comments though! Just thought I'd introduce myself and show you our "rides". First is my Morris Oxford I've had since I was 19 (12 years now!) Bought as a stocker it got lowered a month alter as I was bored and has seen about 90,000 miles since. Now with 1800 twin carb but shortly to be off the road again for a complete front suspension swap to MGB parts - not a bolt in! Second is my wifes 1200 Herald we bought together when we were going out. It's her daily driver and she uses it for her 100 mile commute to work. Again was stock when we bought it but now has 1500 Spit engine, GT6 diff, uprated brakes, suspension etc. Finally and probably of less interest to this board is our Sun-Tor camper bought a year ago. If anyone fancies photo-shopping this thing on the deck be my guest! I'll stick a thread about these in the readers rides section at some point I guess. As you can probably tell though I'm more of a BMC/BL guy than a Ford or GM nut but I'm pretty open minded car wise and like what I've seen on here! Seth

Hi Welcome loving your rides.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Penski/Slater, thanks for the pics! I love the idea of roof chopping a camper with a lifting roof. Once I unbolt the front end from my Oxford I will have a pair of short springs that I'll try in the Sun-Tor and I've got some lowering blocks in the shed too so it probably will come down a bit soon but not too extreme. Thanks for the warm welcome the rest of you. Tom, coffee would be nice. Anyone else in the North London area?

Welcome aboard Seth.
I've seen the A60 before (in a couple of show reports - CC/SM?) and I love it! That's the first time I've seen the Herald, but I absolutely love that too - especially with that stance - a truly awesome car! The camper? I'm loving that too, but get that thing slammed! ;D

Hi all, The Oxford has been in regular use for over 10 years though it was off the road for three when I did a load of bodywork and the engine swap. No garage means I can only work on it (or anything else for that matter) when the weather is kind. As far as I know it has never been in any show report in Street Machine or Custom Car. It was in a feature on modified farinas in Classics a year or so ago so maybe that's where you know it from.
I think the Herald still sits too high at the back so I've got a spacer block to go between spring and diff to bring it down a tad. Just got to get time to fit it. It also gives the back end a bit of neg camber too as they have pos camber with the factory settings.
Thanks for all the positive vibes though!

Keefy, More than likely. I live only a few miles form the Ace so I'm down there every month for both the Hot Rod and Classic nights. I've gone to the VW meet occasionally too.
