Location: East Yorkshire (Driffield)
Price: £1000 ono
Additional Information:
For sale (with massive regret) is a 90 quattro I bought recently, this was intended to be restored up to be my daily driver, however a slightly unwelcome home move has meant I need to shed projects rather than horde them and with one perfect Audi and a pair of resto MGs poor old project Pegasus has to be the one to go!
The car is a Type 85 2.2 10v (5 Cylinder, stunning sound) Audi 90, basically the non turbo saloon version of the iconic Quattro of the 80s. As you would imagine the car has centre and rear diff locks, I was really looking forward to the snow this winter!!!
Condition wise it is a lot better than when I bought it, the rust that looked horrendous on my viewing was thankfully mostly surface, the only metal that was through was a small patch on a rear arch and the scuttle, these will both be welded up before the car goes, I also have the paint to refinish the areas that have been repaired so there will be no bodywork. That said it isn't a concourse car, but it will be a very tidy T.85.
Other problems were mainly broken or missing or incorrect parts fitted, good examples being a broken wiper stalk, wrong wheels and missing back box, these are now all replaced. The correct Ronal R8 wheels are currently being refurbed.
Really the only things that will need doing on the car are a pair of rear diff mounts to be done (£20 the pair, only needs one but you may as well do both) I may get round to doing these. A good check over for MOT, the drivers seat needs a patch making (correct cloth included) this may also be done before it goes.
As you can tell it's a pretty simple project and the resultant car is worth good money! These have gone for in excess of £2k recently in poorer condition than this one will be.
My £1000 ono is a very loose price, based on the work above being done, the less work you want me to do the more flexible I can be on price, I need it gone really, can't give it away (would prefer to stick it in to storage long term) I have spent a fair bit on bits plus the car but I'd like it to go to a good home that will make it perfect again.
Go on make me an offer!
