I did laugh at Clarkson in the Aston, with his white top and the white car interior, i just couldn't help but think he looked like Jimmy Saville!

Now, I love TopGear, and my misses is forever rolling her eyes when it's on, but I have a few quarms. Firstly, apart from May, no one knows anything about cars or engineering - at all. This doesn't mean the program suffres from it, it's just something which rears it's head from time to time which niggles me. these times are high lighted by.. Clarkson is a tool. It's odd. I want to like Clarkson, he is a funny chap and he does make me laugh, but he is such a tool and is responsable for a lot of wibblepoo views on A LOT of stuff. It annoys me that he is so highly regarded and everyone thinks 'He's alright'. Yep it looks like we both share exactly the same view. What I don't like is when random people at say work, or the pub who think they know about cars because they watch Top Gear start quoting things that Clarkson says. The classic that annoyed me most and I've now heard it quoted a few times is the one where he said the new Corvette has leaf springs like a silvercross pram. He gives the impression it has some sort of live axle but fails to mention that the Corvette has been IRS for about 45 years but just happens to use lateral leaf springs. James May though actually 'know's' cars, I'm sure I'd enjoy a beer with this chap. It's things like last week when he says the Merc had a dog leg gearbox, but only allowed to say it was better for racing to keep it simple but without really explaining why. It's these things that detract the show from true petrol heads. Oh and seeing car's going sideways all the time is now really boring. However that said, it's still worth watching over above all the other stuff on TV!
