Hi all,
I'm in urgent need of some historical info on the MkIII Capri 3-litre S and was wondering if anyone who's close to Gloucester (or Evesham) has any relevant books I could buy or borrow?
A bit of a long shot I know but can anyone help?

Kind of stuff would be spec, distinguishing features of the 3.0S, running gear differences compared to other models etc.
Bit pushed for time to try and wait for anything in the post unfortunately!

One of my customers is epically into Capri's, and Puggy ( zebra painted 5.7 supercharged mk3) lives in my village. I live by Evesham. Let me know what sorta thing you want and I'll have a word

Yes, I believe it is around Evesham way. Many thanks for the replies and think I might have sorted what I need now. As usual, top response!

Isn't the owners club round Evesham way? Yeah, it's up in the Lenches, near the golf club. They have a huge barn with some truly awesome stuff, including a factroy mk1 4wd shell

There are a lot of Capri books!
Fatbaldy's first edition "Walton" won't have the whole Mk3 story. The 3rd edition of the same book does, however, so get the 3rd edition!
There is a book specifically on the design and development of the Mk3 Capri (or what some call the "facelifted Mk2"). I cannot lay hands on my copy at the mo...... (see update below!!!!!)

Found it!
It's called "Capri, Biography Of The Mark III" by Steve Saxty, published by CCI, 1996, softbound.
Foreword by Rod Mansfield and a plug by Bob Lutz, as to its accuracy. So it's a good 'un. Appears to be currently out of print.
