Additional Information:
I had this for sale on here some time ago but it had some little niggles which I've now sorted
Most people are put off big engined cars with the cost of petrol but this e28 returns mid 20's on my daily run to n from work rising to low 30's on a motorway run so thats not too bad for a 3.4l 6 pot BMW monster.
Toys:-
4 electric windows, electric slide n tilt sunroof, electric mirrors,OBC with average mpg-temp-date-time-range etc, ABS, sports ratio sports suspension, 5sp manual box, LSD, rear screen blind, M.Sport interior and steering wheel.
NO ADDED RUST- I'm told e28's suffered from rusty wings and doors this one does not....however at some point in it's history it has had a waft-over on the wings, boot lid and bonnet which is not the best of colour matches with the doors and roof.
Wheels - As standard these came with metric wheels and tyres these have been changed to 16" rims with 225x55 rears and 225x50 fronts all with good tread left
Recent works - For the Mot I replaced the rear axle bushes both sides (these were bX$&%*£s to do too) plus the diff mounting bush, plus new rear discs n pads and replaced the brake pipes with copper.
Recently the BMW has suffered vibration under braking and I have replaced all 4 control arms and the front discs and pads at some consideral expence and almost at the cost of whats left of my sanity but finally cured the vibrations.
I've also recently fitted a new radiator cus the existing one was showing it's age.
I have a folder of history which Julie has tucked away somewhere and I'll dig out all the previous Mot's and milages later.
No nasty knocks, rattles, or bangs.
De-badged for those who like the sleeper look bit this BMW will out accelerate most modern cars with a book 0-60 of 6.2 sec and top speed of around 160mph (I'm sure someone will know the actual top speed) but I've only done 110mph in 3rd with 5 adults on board (obviously on closed roads officer)
Truth be told I'm bored of it and I'm looking for a change so will take intresting swaps and or part-x but cash is king.
Price is just as likely to go up as well as down depending on if I lower the car as planned.
Colin
It's not a pink patch on the door...it's just the camera flash!
