Roof down and enjoying the sunny drive I passed a Nova for sale, "A" plate, looks clean I thought, best spin round and take another look Glad I did Walked passed it to get to the guys door and thought mmm, very clean... The chap came out and showed me round 8000 miles, all history including original bill of sale 99%mint (just a couple of minor scratches) Belonged to an old guy who gave up driving in 93, last tax disc still in window , and he unfortunately died soon after. he left the car to his daughter for her to learn to drive in but she couldn't bring herself to use it so it has sat in storage ever since Inside front wing!! It still has the paper label on the bottom of the fuel tank, all the little white "OK" stamps on the subframe and suspension parts, it really is the cleanest car I have seen in a very long time!! He is looking for £1850 as he was warned to keep it higher up the price scale due to autograss racers wanting clean shells. Is it worth this much? I don't know, seems a lot but it is all but a new car. Trouble is what will need replacing in the near future? Tyres for certain as they are the originals! On a side note he has just finished a resto on a '59 2CV which he showed me

That Nova is stunningly clean ;D
The 2CV is ridiculously basic, but very cool. Does it have the corrugated bonnet with the big badge on it? Just needs a wooden tray of eggs with some straw in it to complete the look ;D

I'd say that Nova is worth every penny of £2000,
And I am shocking myself here but it needs to stay standard,
A car that clean is an icon and should be cherished..........................Were in the country is it??
pm me??

Good lord ! I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a more original early Nova than that anywhere . I do sincerely hope it goes to a good home ( and most definately not an autograss racer ! )

You've been telling me you were a genius since you were seventeen ... in all the time I've known you I still don't know what you mean !

No rottie - one's exhaust, the other inlet. Peculiar manifolds on 2CVs!
Thought it was a friend of mine, who's also just finished rebuilding a ripple 2CV in the Gloucs area, but that one's actually different and still RHD!! Super-rare for that age. Any more pics?!
EDIT - how rude of me. Top Nova find! Stunning condition.

That is awesome.
Would be worth contacting the Vauxhall Heritage Centre to see if they are looking for a Nova.
