hmmmm, did it blow any fluid out the top of the cylinder? could be blocked and only allowing the fluid to come up and out?

nope no fluid leaks any where at all. ive had masters go on a few cars but they never start working perfectly after again. seems very strange.

Could also be a vacuum problem with the servo. Make sure you check for air leaks too. Servos can corrode underneath (and therefore out of site) along the seam that holds the front half to the back half and as a result air can escape.

Had this a couple of weeks ago on a mini. It's the master cyl seals letting fluid past the seal between the 2 circuits when used/pumped. Then when you leave it for a bit, it self bleeds back past the seals to where it should be. It'll get worse very quickly.

Can't see how this would make the pedal go to the floor. Wouldn't a leaking servo cause the engine to run like curse word also? definitely sounds like internal leakage in the MC imho How about a rebuild? Or are ford parts so cheap you shouldn't be bothered about that?

Normally leaking m/c seals will show up as small trace air bubbles in the clear reservoir as you depress the pedal.
