Interesting, hows the bodywork? looks a little tatty around the edges there??
Getting to Lincoln would be my biggest issue!

You know...
There is this, a Peugeot 104 further back in the classified ads and a Citoen LN on eBay right now.
I thought these were about extinct (except for the convertibles)
You could bag an example of all three french sisters right now!

Interesting, hows the bodywork? looks a little tatty around the edges there?? Getting to Lincoln would be my biggest issue! Bodywork is good, so I'm not sure what you're referring to there. Front wings got replaced when I bought it as they were dissolving in the classic Samba style. The other 2 places Sambas go (front edge of the boot floor and top of the front bulkhead where the wiper motor sits) are both fine too.

it had matching wing mirrors too... Yes, the previous owner added the funny mirror. Personally, if I couldn't find a matching one, I wouldn't have bothered.

Interesting, hows the bodywork? looks a little tatty around the edges there?? Getting to Lincoln would be my biggest issue! Grab a train straight into Lincoln, then there's a pretty good bus service round here or the seller would probably even be prepared to pick you up from the station.

Had a number of questions about the car so I'll summarise all the answers -
* New front wings * New driver's side sill * Couple of bits of welding (o/s rear bump stop, o/s inner wing, n/s sill) * Front brake calipers stripped, cleaned & rebuilt * New front brake pipes & Goodridge hoses * Rear brakes stripped, cleaned & rebuilt * New battery * Cyl head "should" be ok with unleaded but as I've never been able to confirm this, I've always used Millers VSP in it just to be on the safe side (20L's worth of VSP is included). * Bodywork is all sound (wheelarches, front bulkhead, boot floor, etc) * Mileage is genuine as far as I can determine - I don't have a full history but I have enough to suggest it's genuine. Instrument panel doesn't look like it's been tampered with. General condition of the vehicle also suggests the mileage is genuine. * No accidents I'm aware of. No accident repairs are visible on the car. * Starts every time & runs sweet as a nut. Emissions test suggests engine is in good condition. * Rear 3 point seat belts from a D reg are fitted (don't think they were even an option on this model despite the mounting points being there).
Any more questions, please ask.

Ok, this has gone from way out of my reach to agonisingly close to what I should have by the end of the month. I'm still geared up for getting the cash together for the Maestro first though unless it sells, then this becomes top of my list.
