Anyone seen this on Discovery TV?
For those not in the know, its based in 'English Mobile Mechanics' in Marbella, Spain, which is run by a Scotsman (typical!) and last year expanded due to workload. They took on five new workers, a Geordie, a Sarf Lundoner, another bloke, some bimbo called Danielle and another girl ex-Aston Martin Dealership to run the office.
Last one I saw, all apart from the Geordie had told 'Jock' to shove it because he wouldn't let go of the reins enough. Danielle certainly wanted to learn spannering but all he wanted was someone to sweep up after his incontinent Scottie dogs..........
Some top wheels in the show; Sunbeam Alpine with Cossie engine conversion came in (he called it a heap of sh*te) and they dredged a Ford Anglia out of a garden to restore it, but it was so rusty they gave up (which is the difference between a spannermonkey and a proper mechanic......almost anyone on here could have had it running and doing trackdays in the time they spent looking at it!).
They also went to a BMW/other marques dealership where they met Lamborghini's, Ferraris, Lotus Super 7 under resto, lots of old Beemers including a 2002 Turbo and plenty of modern cr*p.......
It's certainly been an eye-opener to just HOW THICK some car owners are.....not checking under the bonnet of a Jeep for two-and-a-half years!.....seizing the trans on a Range Rover because they didn't think the clicking from the front axle was important.......not checking the oil in a Beemer 3-series for 12,000 miles (BANG!).......
