Model: 1991 Mercedes 190E
Year: 1991
Mileage: 131000
Tax: Apr10
MOT: Nov 10
Location: Hampshire/Suffolk
Price: £750 ono
Additional Information:
I've decided (Well SWMBO and I have decided) that it's time for the Merc to go and to get something we can both use/she can use when I nick her 'slightly newer' 220.
I bought it last year from Topi, so some of you will know the car already. She came with a few faults, nothing major, but you can follow all of the work I've done on my thread. to summarise though I have done the following;
Fitted E Class alloys and new tyres (2 professionally refurbished and two done by me)
New Nardi steering wheel
New Sony stereo and rear speakers
Full Cosworth half leather interior, the leather has a few wear marks but no rips
New dashboard parts, and glove box as the old one was broken
New battery
New rear discs and pads
Brand new German style number plates
I also had it fully serviced when it was MOT'd in November last year.
Their are only a couple of small issues with the car, the exhaust has a slight blow (understandable when it's so low) and the radiator has developed a small leak. I don't know where from, I had a good look the other day while it was in the garage but can't see where it's seeping from. I may throw some radweld in tomorrow and see whether that cures it. There is minimal rust on the car, just a few very tiny chips, and some holes in the boot surround that I have temporarily repaired with Ali tape, but the paintwork on the roof is pretty rough (I'm going to give it a machine polish this week so hopefully that'll make it look a bit better) Finally the alarm gave up the ghost on its last visit to Area 52 so I've removed it so you have to use the key to unlock the doors. Drivers door lock only opens the drivers door, but pass and boot open all of them. Not sure if this is normal?
I seriously love this car, but I've had it a year, tax and insurance are coming up for renewal and I've got the 205 and my van that need work on so I'm trimming the retro fleet. I'm open to offers of course but no silly ones!
