Awesome car - BMW E3's are very rare now and more were sold in the USA than here because they were so expensive here when new!
Good luck

Welkom Richard.
Believe me , most of the guys here do not speak English well, let alone Dutch.
That is a great project as it is quite rare.
Show us more when you have time.

But I am now working very hard to get the bodywork done this summer.. This I have done in the last two weeks.. This is the inside front fender... inside the car here is normal the fuse box After some removing the rust metal you can look inside After some welding aim not so happy white result because it was hard to get there ... But I wil Thin the welding and make invisible white thin.. today I removed the paint. Some work what already done the car now... My importend tool

Welcome Richard! What a great project, it looks like you are doing a great job on the bodywork. BMW's like this must be very rare now - I suppose rust has claimed a lot of them!

BMW's like this must be very rare now - I suppose rust has claimed a lot of them! really the rust is most in the front but I think the body work is for 90 % OK And this car was ship from 1998 from USA to the Netherlands the last 12 years where for the weak points perfect for the rust monster. But I have now new front en new fender's that make it easy but parts are really ....difculty to get...

Awesome. My dad had a 2500 E3 when I was a kid. Had to get rid of it because the parts were so expensive

Welcome and great car Richard! I had a 3.0si about 15 years ago and sold my 2500 last year. Rust killed most UK e3's sadly. I still drive BMW e21's though. Believe me, your English is better than a lot of UK residents!

Looks like you have a lot of welding ahead of you! I spotted this last year sometime around uni. It had been there for the 3 years I'd been there and i guess it was there a few before I got there. Cheers
