That beaten up Mk1 Fiesta really reminds me of 6th form. Most of my mates had Mk1's for their first cars and were equally dented and rusty ;D

Good pics as ever mate, glad you liked the brief spin in the black dog. even though it was a bit quiet, during the course of the afternoon there were quite a few tasty bits of machinery popping in and out. i just missed the jag, but it looked good. see you next time abw

Who brought that fiesta along? It's my mates old one, and was a 1 owner minter when he bought it about 4 years ago for £300. Unfortunately he drove it into the ground and then sold it to local bloke called mark a few months ago. I don't see Mark on the photos (And he's not the kind of bloke that would go to a car meet!)

Ive not met the guy with the fiesta before. I think he goes by 'Von Thrash' on e30zone though I'm not sure if he's on here. It looked soild enough, just, it also look like it'd been plucked from the the streets circa mid-80's

No probs I knew it would be pushing it for time as we were waiting around for the rain to stop at York raceway Thought I'd show my face though only if it was for 5 minutes. The Mini is not as cool as the Oxford IMO as well.

Hey Hicky .. nice to see you around still! .. That Jag looks AWESOME! .. Yeah,i'm still alive. ;D Cheers for the nice comments on the car guys. It's appreciated. There is'nt a build thread for it but when i get some more time i'll post some work in progress pics up in the readers rides section that i took from early on in the project. Been flat out for the last 6 months working while daft o' clock getting it to the stage we're at now and it still is'nt finished and it's out on saturday! Only just got home now (half past midnight) after a bit of a mare road testing it. We've put around 450 miles on the new engine since saturday and thought it was ready for opening up a bit more than we have been doing. 30 miles from base, took it round to 6000 and we blew a core plug and lost all the water! Think we've got away with it though cos we switched it off in time when we noticed the temp guage going up higher than normal. Got towed back to base and sorted it out. Lets hope its alright when we take it out tommorow night. Best off it doing it now than half way through the race me thinks. Anyway, time for some shuteye and see what tommorow brings. Wayne.

Wayne, it looks epic. I only caught a glance of it on Sunday, it looked well from the other side of the road, the pics of it are something else though. I hope your shakedowns between now and then go a little smoother than tonight I supoose you've been quite lucky. I wish I could've been at Redbeck when you arrived, hell I wish I could've heard it. Go on, what does it go like?

Well, lets say it's the quickest thing on 4 wheels that i've ever been in! I reckon when the gaffa eventually gets to drive it,he'll end up using it on the road a lot. It's a right jeckell and hyde car. 1 minute yer doing a civilised speed and it's purring like a kitten(you could even do the shopping run in it,its that comfortable!),the next minute it's growling and snarling like a lion! Just hope it stays together on saturday. Been out in it tonight and taken it down the M62 from Hudds to brighouse and blown another core plug. Got back to base again and made 11 steel top hat brackets to hold all the barstuards in place. The Block is getting drilled and tapped tommorow to fasten them on,then see what happens on the next run. Hope the welds on my ali header tank arnt the next weekest link! Wayne.
