Hi I'm Ben and I'm new to retro rides.
I'm 16 and want to get a mk1 fiesta as a first car. ive been looking around at all of the ones that are on here and love the styles.
ive noticed that some non xr2 fiesta's have xr2 lights. I noticed there is a plastic surround around the circle lights but don't now what it is like if its a different grill or you can buy the surrounds seperate.
if any one nows what they are and any where i could get them from i would be really happy .
thanks Ben

I take it you mean headlights?
The grille is the same, but the round headlights also take up the space where the front indicators previously lived, so you'll need an XR2 bumper with indicators, or be 'creative' in relocating/adding the indicators somewhere else.

good choice, my first car was a mk1 xr2, and still got it now 15yr later. The grille is the same, but as mentioned, you will need a XR2 front bumper with indicators in it, also the front panel is slightly different, you will have to take a hacksaw/grinder to the 'lugs' that hold the normal indicators in under the the non XR2 headlights. Not a lot of work, should only take 2 mins of cutting once lights and indicators are out. enjoy

good choice, my first car was a mk1 xr2, and still got it now 15yr later. mine was a xr2 aswell silver with the lower body grafix, and dear god I wish id never parted company with her well done on keeping yours ;D the U.S spec fezzy had a different grill (and maybe light) combo iirc if you wanted to be a little bit different as said great choice for your first car ;D ;D not mine but same spec apart from the 4X4 stance I still find these little cars just so "right" in so many ways *scurries off to hunt the bay of e for fezzys* EDIT* its just the grill thats different on US spec fezzys with the repeaters on the front wings

as Ben said up there, there is a guide on the mk1 fiesta forum. and as others have said you need to chop a bit out of the front panel. All grills are dimensionally the same, the US grills had no ford badge in the middle but look like this, and are worth a small fortune ;D also, be prepared to pay a fortune for some lights, theres a few people on the mk1 fiesta forum that are trying desperately to push prices of the things up even though they are worth barely 50% of some asking prices ebay is unrealistic too for these things. i got some quite cheap but they need blasting and will be getting powder coated and some crystal clear golf lights, which need further modification of the outer clip to fit.

Second reply because I've just spent the last hour or so fettling a Mk1 Fiesta As said before, an excellent choice for a first car! They are an absolute doddle to work on, look incredibly cool, have huge good aftermarket support because they're Ford and (if you bother to worry about things as vulgar as money) can and will go up in value. Have a borrowed pic of my my girlfriend's (Becky91's) car

don't forget - you don't just need the light (glass and reflective bowl) and plastic surround - you'll also need the metal bracket surround that affixes to the bowl then bolts up tothe front panel... 9 times out of 10 this will come with the light - but worth checking was also about to say you can doctor some golf lights in there, but kee beat me to it
