Looks good. Always thought these were nice as the shape is the same as the tin top one. Not important to most I know but I think it looks so much better than it's contempories! (Think Astra!)

I think...Just as the designer intended comes to mind. At some point in a Wolfsburg or Osnabruck office, a designer told the VW boss that this was the look of the new Cabriolet to replace the Beetle Cab. The GL model would be the mainstay of that range and the direct derivative of the Karmann Beetle Cab...

I think this is why it works....before the full arch spats and alloys. Some people put larger tyres on the steels...I keep them ultra stock skinny..155 80 13! Like a beautiful girl without make up....She doesn't need the slap to be desireable.....;-)
