Don't know if a Mystery car thead has been done on RR before, but well I'm starting one now. What is this car? I'm not giving any clues because I wanna see how good you are. Oh, and don't bother checking the IRL of the pic you Interweb Bloodhounds, as that won't give any clues either. So, Make, Model, backstory.

I'd say it was a sunbeam tiger fastback racer or Le Mans special

Stiil not hearing any backstory... ;D And while I'm waiting for some backstory with my ear trumpet in one hand and mouse in the other, what's this? Don't let the Dunlop wheels fool you.

Hmm, with the wheels I was going to say C-type relative, but they are too wide and the body a little too crude. The writing on the door looks Russian...

I think the writing is Swedish. Saab special of some description?

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

backstory on the Tiger:
It's one of the Lister-bodied Tigers built for the works entry at Le Mans 1964. If memory serves 3 were built, but only 2 entered. Sadly both cars failed to finish. Relying on memory again, but I think both the Shelby-prepared engines blew up.

Relying on memory again, but I think both the Shelby-prepared engines blew up. Correct. (lot of conspiracy theories about Carroll Shelby deliberately supplying sub-standard engine as he saw the Tigers as a threat to his beloved Cobras, but that's a story for another time.) Looks like the silver car is a bit harder... Ignore the writing on the side, it's taking you off in a completely different direction, quite literally.

Hmm, looks like I've over-estimated you guys with this one, thought you were good! ;D Look closely, it has a 'BRDC' sticker on it. and those a re Dunlop racing wheels, which were common on a lot of British racing cars of the 50's/60's. Don't make me beat it out of you... ;D

Correct. One of them was, as Connaught made more than one B-type streamliner, they had different engines including Lea-Francis and Jaguar engines. This one's a little easier:
