Selling on behalf of my Stepdad who has owned this car for 7 years but due to my nagging Mum he has to buy a newer car. The engine is a base model 1600 with 5 speed 118,000 miles. Interior is immac for age. Car has brand new Mot until Feb 2011. Taxed until July 2010. It's not worth a bundle but he would like 350 Quid. Please message me or email me ianlea73@hotmail.com Car is located in Bristol. Thanks all!!

Hi there. My father in law may be interested in this, as his Passat has just blown its head gasket (amongst other things ) Power Steering? Central Locking? Electric Windows? Any known problems? How big is the boot, as he had an estate before, so he's bound to ask. Thanks again. - Dave -

Car has power steering,it has central locking but the rear drivers door doesn't always lock or unlock, manual windows so no electrical probs. For the MOT it had a front downpipe & that's it. Just to answer a few questions the boot is like a cavern.A lot bigger than a Ford Focus or Vauxhall Astra.

Haha yeah, that would be the idea. Not sure I can face FWD again though, unless in the form of a little MK2 Golf GTI...
How is it on fuel?

We had one of these for years, went well and sooo reliable, Bit of a boat to drive if I'm honest though...Possibly the most boring car I've driven next a to a diesel C class.

Boot capacity is a healthy 19cu ft(bigger than estate with seats up) Btw Focus/Astra not direct rivals to Carina
