Righty ho, time to organise this again methinks. 'We' have done this the last couple of years and it's always been thoroughly enjoyable. I'm going to book an area for 15 of us with a possibility of another 15 as long as definate numbers are confirmed. I have seven confirmed so far I think and happy to book another area for more as above but only upon definate confirmation of attendance as it costs money to organise and I don't want people not turning up when someone else could have. It's only £3.00 per car, cheaper than paying to come in as a spectator and we always have a great turn out of cars. Last year we had (amongst others) two Firenza V8s, a Mk1 Escort, VW camper, Golf convertable, GMC Sierra pick-up truck, Nissan Prarie(sp?), Daimler/XJ 12 and a few more besides.
Scenery/local roads/backdrop about as good as you'll get and it's suitable for families too. Autojumble, castle grounds and 1,000 vehicles of all types and conditions. You do NOT need to have some spit and shine classic, I think the rules are anything pre-1991 and oddballs/customs/modifieds/etc are more than welcome in 'our' area.
The location is near Malpas, between Chester and Whitchurch, and easy to access from A41 and not bad from M6/M56/A49 etc.
Please add names to list if interested, perhaps start from 8 onwards until I can confirm the others already planned to come.
Once tickets arrive I'll post them out as it's tricky/time consuming to meet at the gate on the day.

think I'm one of the 7 bill, so here goes
1. hinari bumface fandango 2. kevfromwales
- also, as we suggested last year, I have a 1/2 oil drum type bbq here, so if it's ok with the chumley castle bods, I can sling that in, and we'll have a communal bbq for burger frazzling?? - this is looking like the projected finish date for the 32 too!
- and for anyone worrying about being 'show standard' - I got in with the prairie on it's slots, despite the old giffer on the gate trying to wave me into the carpark!!

Sorry to ask a silly question, what is the event? I am in London but this my old manor, and folks still up that way so could coincide with a trip home.

Like I said the other day Bill, we'll both be there. I won't know what we'll be in though, as the escort might be in bits by then.

well, seeing as I now have a pickup truck, it looks like even if chumley don't want a blazing oil drum type bbq on their grass, we can just leave it in the pickup bed
so make sure you bring some burgers - I'll sort out the bbq and a few bags of charcoal!
- warning though - I can't cook worth a $hit, so someone else might have to be delegated to do that bit!!

if the cav is roadworthy (needs a spot of welding to the floor and a couple of small bits , it looks rough as a badgers but she's reliable (my first drive in it was bringing it back from west sussex to crewe ) i'd love to make numbers up if welcome , not been there for a few years now , it was always a good show.

Count me in again, Billy. Although I've already said that under my AS "alias" ;D
Also, excuse me being a bit numb, but is pre 91, inclusive of 91, ie will I "get in" in a J plate car. This might give me a few more options!
