Rather ashamed to admit as i am in the trade and the info has missed me completely.
What do you know abot the subaru impreza 1.6 TS
What does the TS stand for.
Can this car pull the skin off a rice pudding.
Any info appreciated.

This was what i was thinking, it was the TS that's throwing me incase it was Turbo Sport or something like that. ;D

I believe that the TS simply means that it shares styling pointers from the WRX models.

The current impreza has a 1.5 105bhp tower of power that does 0-60 in 14 seconds. Mild is not the word.

the 2 litre non turbo of the current model is quite nice to drive though..
the 1.5/1.6's are silvertop specials... slow and reliable

And only group 10 instead of group 18 for UK Turbo's and group 20 for WRX's. ;D

That's amazing, I never knew that the Impreza even came with an engine smaller than 2 litres. Here in Australia the base model is the 2 litre non-turbo, ever since the introduction of the Impreza as far as I know. I test-drove one of the new ones and thought that it was a bit rubbish. Really fell far below my expectations, as the turning circle was like a bus and the engine was really coarse, rumbling away like my 40 year old VW instead of sounding like a new car.
