Had this ages now and not got round to making a thread. Its a 1996 Mini Equinox 1.3 SPI. My missus bought it years ago and had many moons of enjoyment from it but its was starting to show its age so we pulled it off the road and I started doing the front end, got bored and plastered it with primer. Got to make a start on this now though so with a couple of my mates help we got it running, and thing it promptly cut out with no compression. No big deal as the clutch is jammed on anyway. So we pushed it to the workshop, Got it to a workable height and got busy
First things first was to get it running again, found it was down on compression on number 1 and 2, bit of WD40 down the plugholes sorted that out, sticky rings. Runs like it had never been parked up now. So just got to free the clutch and get the bodywork done, and the evil gearchange rod oil leak.
Some photos of what I'm up against..
Windscreen seal and scuttle:
Rear valance:
There are other bits and bobs like round the headlamps and such but this is it for now
