The diff cover is plainly visible from behind. I've always thought certain parts like diff pans and brake calipers look really good in red, with the rest painted black.

non metallic green coloured shell.... Everything mecanical in gloss black chassis paint, all the poly bushes happened to be red. The brake drums and front calipers are red, as red brakes add 7bhp.

I thought red chassis against black underbody would look evil.... I wasn't expecting what I got...

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

I went red black and silver for the midget ( I think most colours will look good when they're new) Pretty dull but should last a while.

Sprayed with gloss 2k. All the other parts will be (are now) black, except the silver gearbox and engine case. Currently looks like this

I'm ashamed to show mine I really need to underseal it some day. But recently saw a white base with black and blue suspension components:

I'm really not a fan of red and black together. i think it looks chavvy, and having the underneath of a car painted black is a pain in the ass when it comes to tracing leaks, cracks, etc. cars traditionally have the underside painted black to hide any horrors, so if youre building something nice, why do it?
given the choice id probably paint the underneath of a car i was building white, or a mid grey, or bronze. I'm not a massive fan of contrasting accent colurs, but on the volvo i did it a mix of white and dark-ish blue, on a mid-blue car, which looked pretty good.

and also, black, if done right (even and not to thick) can look fantastic
