Evening all. About time I registered on here lol. I've had you in the bookmarks for a good while now and I loved reading through the abandonned thread! I know a few of the north east lads on here and know of a few more, even if they don't know who I am lol. Here's a little info on what I'm driving for those that it may interest, affectionately known as the Lolvo. This is my first venture into the winning world of RWD, but certainly not the last. I bought the car from a local second hand dealers a year ago with the intention of having a laugh over the winter and getting into the tramp drift scene. It is a 2.0 carb one owner OAP special, 100% standard/original. 59K miles and barely any rust at all given that it is 26y/o in February. It came with the original FM radio/cassette (optional ) and some fly 6.5" speakers in enclosures under the front seats - stealth build ftw lol. and 12 months MOT. To my knowledge it had been unused and garaged since some time in 1992. Then "] Various wheels, a 2" drop, welded diff, Land Rover shocks etc later this is how it currently stands: Big thanks and howdy to fellow skid brothers filthyjohn and jikovron (if that's spelled correctly. For showing me how to go on) Cheers kids, Liam.

Is that an auto one or has it just had bumpers off an auto? Little grills in the bumper are there to duct air to cool the transmission. Manuals had blanking plates. That car was originally designed by DAF and was to be realeased as the 77. When volvo took over the company in 1976 the 77 project was revamped by volvo and released as the 343. However the car differs very little from the 77 prototype and infact the automatic featured the DAF variomatic transmission right untill they stopped making the 340 and 360. As a result of this you would be very welcome on the DAF club forum with that car, we kind of regard them as honary DAFs. Thats not too say that owners of other cars aren't welcome though the more the better. More photos and more info on that 360 please

pauldaf44. Cheers for the info mate. I'm on 300mania so I have read a fair bit about the old Daf variomatics. Cool little cars! You have a keen eye lol. It's a b19e manual though. I opened up the chassis rails as they are blanked off by the bumper reinforcer on mk2's. The open grilles are already in the bumpers which are original though. Davenger, cheers dude This car has really gotten under my skin. I only bought it originally as I hadn't seen one in years and I said to my mate if it's the 1.7 I'll get it, I didn't even know they made a 2.0 (360) at the time lol. I plan to fit a B230FT into the car at some stage and improve the front suspension, fit a mk1 Golf GTi splitter and possibly some form of ducktail spoiler but other than that it will ptretty much stay as is I reckon. I considered ditching the chrome at first! I would never now lol. Just gotta keep the salt of it atm as it is my daily driver! Thanks.

SilverMachine, you're right about the top floor of the Met Ctr fella. Except when your mate is taking the pics and doesn't want to get his DSLR wet lol. I've had the car about 13 months mate so it's possible you seen it over shields, although it will have been completely standard and friend of the speed bump at the time lol. elmotheewokking, any word with lol in it is FTW. You got yours badged as Lolomite? I like that. Will have to look at members cars and see what everyone is rolling in colonthumbsupemoticon Thanks for the warm welcome
