Here we have my 1992 Toyota Supra Turbo for sale, in fantastic condition.
She has 107276 miles on the clock (I use it everyday to commute so this will increase).
It had a cambelt change at 60000 miles.
I'm very sad to see this go as it is quite simply the most comfortable car I've ever owned, it is fantastic on a long distance journey and the smooth auto box makes traffic jams almost enjoyable!
The list of features fitted to this Supra Turbo is astounding, here are just some;
Air conditioning,
Climate control,
8 way electrically adjustable drivers seat,
Speed sensitive power steering,
Limited slip differential,
Front fog lamps,
Heated rear window,
Heated mirrors,
Anti lock brakes,
Cruise control,
CD player with 6 speaker system,
Tilt and telescopic steering wheel,
Variable intermittent wipers,
Electric windows,
Central locking,
Leather interior,
Headlamp washers,
Electrically levelling headlamps,
Overdrive and ECT (Electrically controlled Transmission)
To top it off the coachwork is finished in the more expensive factory option of metallic grey and with all the toys ticked, back in 1992 this car would have cost its perspective buyer just under £25000!
I'm needing to sell it because I have a project car awaiting some attention and I need to get something 'sensible' to commute with, I'm not happy about this, believe me.
The Supra has a full de-cat stainless exhaust system fitted, coupled with a K&N cone filter to optimise the engines breathing. Put simply, it sounds absolutely gorgeous. These engines deliver 234BHP standard and complete the 0-60 dash in 6.1 seconds, with the improved 'breathing' due to the de restricted exhaust and filter - well, you do the maths, its no slouch when prompted!
It is however, extremely relaxing to drive, I find myself cruising nice and slow in it all the time - hey, you drive fast no ones gonna see you!
The paintwork is stunning and there is no rust to speak of at all. There are a couple of small light scratches here and there but on the whole, it looks brilliant. The worst thing about the bodywork are a couple of dents in the drivers wing (photographed) and a very small dent in the bonnet.
The cruise control is ever so slightly intermittent but works easily 90% of the time.
It starts on the button and runs like a dream, the exhaust note is beautiful and the 7M GTE engine is ridiculously smooth, as is the gear change of the auto box. Speaking of the auto box, the ECT button and overdrive work perfectly.
A common fault on these Supras is that the side windows become a bit loose and wobble about when half open - not so on this one, the windows operate perfectly as does the auto down switch - another rarity apparently.
The 17" wheels are fairly new and are shod in 235/45/17 rubber. 3 have absolutely loads of tread left, one is slightly low on the inner edge but the spare in the boot is brand new and never used!
It drives very straight and handles really well, the previous owner had Demon Tweeks perform a 4-wheel alignment that included front and rear camber and rear track adjustment.
I'm not sure what else I can say about the car other than it comes with no history unfortunately - although I have the full V5 in my name and the MOT certificate.
It is MOT'd until the end of August 2010
Taxed until the end of March 2010
