I had one, looked just like that minus the Classics. Paid £150 for it and it was mint, ran it for a year and sold it for £650

blimey! I bought one of them on ebay as a donor to re-engine my 80CL not so long ago* for about 1% of the selling price for that one! *1999. Mrs S just made me feel really old I think not that long ago, turns out it was a different decade in a whole other century ago...

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

Mot man, lamp in hand runs along the length of the exhaust to reveal a tidy size hole in the rear section. Me, thinking out loud 'That was new...................6 years ago' Doh. Audi looks sweet and if it gets that price then fair enough, sounds like plenty of work went in and it's nice to hear of some sort of pay back. Does need some stance work to get them wheels sitting pretty (in my humble opinion).

Kris, why didn't you put this in the ebay thread? No, diss. Just wondering, because the first 8 pages of the forum would get clogged with ebay carp if we start loading ebay threads on the general forum page, yanno? Then there'd be no room for cool show threads, JS painting his grille threads, roll cages made from gluegun threads, threads about nothing limited to 1 pic per post, etc etc etc!

This was back in 1997, and it got written off shortly after I sold it. A couple of years later I bought a mint '85 Toyota Celica Supra 2.8i for £400 Those were the days!
