my latest chariot of derision, sold my bmw and needed a practical workhorse so purchased this:- got it for the huge sum of £300 with a weeks mot. needed some deft welding of the o/s chassis and an urgent full service. looks to have been well cared for tho, ex-essex water and only 2 owners since. plans? well its frickin' gutless being a 1.7d non-turban although since servicing it its a lot nippier. i'm not liking the ride height tho so some stick will be applied. trouble is it has leaf springs on the back with the axle underneath, anyone point me to an axle flip guide? probably similar to doing a caddy. the roof bars have gone already, clear side repeaters on the way, cherry bomb exhaust planned, wheels undecided, some paint would be good i keep thinking red oxide?? photoshop welcome!

cool purchase. I like the sounds of your plans except the red oxide - the paint look half tidy i'd be inclined to polish up what's there & have a tidy, slammed workhorse for very little outlay. I know everyone says it - but those rims banded a bit would look the nads!

My brother has one of these, so i'll be watching closely and begging him to do something cool with his! Great little vans these though, and so useful.

Red oxide FTW! my T25 is red oxide and I love it! Get that thing lowered.. stat! I'm thinking Reno turbone wheels as well, oddly. Although I feel any 80's stylee wheels could work.. Have a tiny bit of red oxide inspiration.. My van ;D

Looks more like a Corsa front end to me. I think he meant the application of a Tigra beak would equals WIN! I've always had a weird soft spot for these, so I look forward to seeing how this comes along. Chris

Interesting. I actually looked at a combo some days ago and got a vision that it would look hard as nails, if lowered over reversed stock steelies, painted primer grey, with some boost under the hood...

small update,
binned the roofbars, chucked a set of ebay clear side repeaters on, changed the mirrors to standard corsa car ones (a whopping 8 quid each new lol!) and now running on black 13" daewoo steels cause the tyres were shot and they cost me nowt off a breaker. axle flip looks to be a nightmare job with lots of bits to be adapted. bums.
made a couple of exhaust bits up and some patches in the past but nothing like this! oh well got a week off just before xmas, so i'll have a fiddle lol.
thinking a slam, sort the scabby bodywork, shave the badges/trims and repsray the box on the top as all the black paints flaked off. then a different tailbox and a shovelful of retro stickers in the back windows.

needs a bit of paint on the bumpers minilights or ats classics or you could even get away with some 4 stud bmw alloys with the right tyres on that would look good then 60m drop and it will look great iv aways wanted to do up a van keep the pics coming mate cant wait to see more
