I'm gutted to offer her up for sale, I've had my little Opel for just over a week and it's one of the most fun cars I've ever had. Sale due to a combination of my stupid front-end accident, and the purchase of a P6 2000.
It's an import model brought over from Germany in 1983, with the Waterloo dealer sticker still in the back window.
It's got the 1600 carb engine with a three speed auto gearbox which is nice and smooth - 68,000 genuine on the clock. She starts first time every time and is very nippy - it doesn't hang about! New shocks fitted recently, along with various service parts.
Two previous owners, apparently the car was used on TV show 'the street' at some point.
Interior needs a good clean, drivers seat is torn and shabby.
Tyres are good and all trim is there, original stereo and spare wheel etc.
Electric aerial ;D
Bad points:
No tax and no MOT...
Bubbling on drivers side rear arch - purely cosmetic, seems solid enough but I'd replace it at some point.. it's not an MOT fail yet.
Corrosion on passenger side wing bottom, by the sill - small hole there
Front valance pushed in and radiator panel slightly bent (radiator is fine though, it still runs and drives no problem)
Rev counter doesn't work, neither does the time-clock thing
Brakes work but are grinding, presume new pads are required.
It must be a bargain at £200, it just covers my costs and helps out a bit towards rent. It'd make a great daily or an awesome mod, I'll be sad to see it go. Should MOT with little trouble.
PM me on the forum or drop a note on the thread as I've lost my phone.
