Thats a P5/6 engine with the short water pump, SDis were about 30mm longer, and the later serpentine engine is about 30mm shorter than the P5/6, height will vary depending on what induction you fit, carbs are lower than PI, or the federal injection is lowere than all of them

Atmo V8 Power . No slicks , No gas + No bits missing . Doing it in style. Austin A35van, very different------- but still doing it in style, going to be a funmoble

I have an almost bare rv8 block in my garage I could take measurements from if you tell me where you want the measurements taken from.

A few from me: Rover V8:Though as other have said lots of variables depending on age, injection etc. And as you asked for some others: Lexus 1UZ:Chevrolet LS3:And if you're thinking about a LS transplant this thread has all the sump option available. Like this:

thanks for the above pictures celicav8! good job with the sump shots I compeltely forgot about sumps being different shapes etc! sowen, if you could tell me the position of the mounts from the front of the water pump housing (if you have it if not go from the front of the block) would be awesome if you could do that AND here is the cause of all the hassle in the first place:

From the front face of the block, the first pair of mount bosses are 5 1/4 inches, and the next mount boss is 9 1/2 inches. The picture below shows the p6 type mount fitted. That engine has a short serpentine timing cover fitted, so from the front of the block to the nose of the water pump is approx 6 inches as in the picture below I had a quick look at my other engine, with full p6 front timing cover fitted, and that was approx 8 inches from the block face to the nose of the water pump. I could be a little off there as the engine is buried at an awkward angle. Hope that helps
