this has this and these: MOT March 10 TAX Feb 10 And 'the seller has lowered the reserve price to £301.00' right colour, right spec (Manual, etc) and definitely the right price. As mentioned once, twice or three hundred times I really want one of these... really... and it's taken me a LONG time to come across one in white, never mind a saloon to start with. To make it up, have some retro Peugeot action. However bear in mind I'm slightly aggrieved I can either afford the transport or the car, but not both! 13 hours to go, and I'll cry myself to sleep this night!

406 V6, such a sleeper... There is a W reg one for sale in the local rag for £800, I'd love it if I wasn't paying for the fuel.

13 hours to go, and I'll cry myself to sleep this night! Where is it located? Perhaps a fellow retro rider can stash it for you til you get the funds to collect it.

That V6 is a great engine, 24v with loads of torque and the gearbox is good for 155mph ;D It's actually better on fuel than my 405 Mi16 by about 8mpg thanks to much better engine management, hence why i was thinking of swapping the Mi engine for a V6.

I hour to go £341. I'm just across the road in Milton Keynes and would also love this but think the wife might kill me and I might end up doing...

I'm pretty sure you're good for the money, if you're desperate, I'm sure someone (even me) could lend it to you, if you sign a piece of paper/mini contract saying you'll pay back within a certain amount of time. Its just a case of finding someone with the money

what cc are these? are they actually sleepers or just a bit torquey?? (<sp??) They're not super-quick - 0-60mph in 7.8secs and 142mph, but they look just like a high-spec 1.9TD or 1.8.

I know a guy who has dropped one those V6's into his stripped out 205... seems like a better idea for it.... personally with the lack of any stagering performance gains in the 406 shell, and an otherwise bland look id go for the run of the mill versions... no one would ever know the difference.. and its not a sleeper enough to outrun any sportscars sooooooooo (just my opinion)
