1987 Fiat Uno, look at the shinny shinny!!

Definitely know what mean ;D as ive not long had a Punto GT and love it.

So could potentially have two turbos! lol

Right ive been a little quiet on the Uno front, so decided it was time for a mini update and also kick start some of the modifications on the car!!

The bodywork was looking a little shabby, with black paint on the bodywork where there shouldn't be some!!



So my brother got some spray paint mixed in the correct colour, we found there was a few rust holes on the doors and passenger rear wheel arch.
So he filled them for now, until such time we can replace/repair them when funds allow.
Ok so it's not A1, but the results are pretty good i think







Scored some win on the bay with a set of mk1 Uno turbo alloys, bargain at £50 i thought



Also while looking on the fiat forum seen this OMP back box, made for the Uno as well good times!



So sent a email straight away, and month or so later collected it at Autoitalia down at Stanford Hall.

Also got some genuine Fiat accessory wind deflectors for the car, from the same guy who had the exhaust. I did a bit of haggling and got both bits for £50 notes!!

Oh and as the wings we're a bit ropey, we managed to get a pair of genuine old stock wings.
Though had to get one from Chesterfield, and one from St Helens so a bit of travelling!!
My brother had them painted by a local sprayer and they look great, wish the rest of the paintwork was as good!

Much better!! hopefully we'll get the alloy's on soon, along with the exhaust and wind deflectors.
We'll then be taking the front end apart to fit the wings

I apologise for the poor photoshop, I've not used it in a while. It's not easy using pictures of wheels from that kind of picture either :/

Not a fan of black wheels, I love those lancia ones. Nice to see it kept simple, sometimes the most subtle mods make the most difference! And you know you want to drop it just a few mm's!

Yeah definitely, thinking of just a 35mm drop as there are speed bumps where i live so need to be practical as well as my thinking of my spine

Also a hell of alot cheaper that way ;D as everything on this car has to be done on a tight budget!!

Sometimes I'm in my other non retro car, a Yellow Punto GT so ill be easy to spot either way!

Thanks, although ive got the Uno Turbo alloys now i may hang onto the Lancia alloys to swap over every now an then!!

I know what you mean I'm the only person around here with a Mk1 Uno, don't even really see the MK2's now where one time of day they we're everywhere!!

Seem's rust, old age and abuse has killed alot off sadly
