Big ask here- I'm currently putting a mini together and I'm having some issues with the trim hope some one can help- 1- the over riders don't seem to have been provided with any bolts (just some strips of rubber and a set of metal shim type things) any ideas on how they fit as I don't believe they bolt through the bumpers. 2- The owner has (foolishly in my opinion) plumped for the stainless steel covers for the plastic arches and they don't seem to fit over for toffee on the rear... is this common? currently I'm looking at rebuilding them with a grinder and glass fibre to get them even close to fitting flush with the body... heres a pic in its current state for you delectation...many thanks for any advice...(and no its isnt keeping those wheels)

Hi, have you got the corner bars with overiders or just overiders? its entirely possible that whoever bought them has just bought them to fit to their current bumpers in which case the current bumpers won't have any holes in for them to bolt onto.
As for the chrom arches, just say no kids. Personal taste and all that but I personnally think chrome arches are rank especially on a Mini when there are some many nicer arches not to mention the fact that give it a winter or two and they're be covered in corrosion.

The over riders grip on to the bumper. you clip them over the front of the bumper then screw a bolt from the back which clamps the overrider on. IIRC the shims things sit inside the bumper and the bolt screws against it. you only need to drill the bumper ends if you are fitting corner bars.
WHS/\...ditch the chrome arches.

Clubby matt is spot on about the overriders...they were a pig to fit on mine.
The arches screw under the original mayfair style arches and they seem to pull away from the body..on one of my minis, i had them screwed on, and superglued on and with the rubber bit of trim it looked fine. another mini (my dads) has them fitted with no arches, just the chrome ones on the car..they had little brackets added on the screw holes, and they fitted well (but looked rubbish from beneath)

Ill let the angle grinder rip to get them to fit properly.... thanks for your help heres a mini i like for your trouble.
