1st of all I have a set of bike carbs complete with home made manifold for sale. I spent weeks getting this set up just right so I'm a bit annoyed at the fact I won't be using it now (fitting 2.0ltr zetec). Carbs are Yamaha R6, 38mm as recommended by Bogg bros. I have separated them into 2 pairs & made longer bolts with spacers to hold them all together, This also meant making a longer linkage between carbs 2 & 3. It was a lot of work but looks pretty cool bolted to the engine & means the flow from carbs to manifold tubes is much smoother.
I have also replaced all necessary hoses with longer ones since that picture & angled the carbs downwards more & painted the manifold silver. Silicone hose & 8 clips to hold it all together also included.
Trial fitted to 1.3 lump (also for sale).
I have it on good authority that the main jets will need drilling out to 1.6mm in order for them to work on a 1.6 engine which is the only thing I haven't done. I can supply links to other people's "how to" threads & a guide on fitting bike carbs to your engine in pdf format. There is plenty of info on this very forum too ! Carbs will need stripping in order to gain access to the jets so I would advise giving them a good clean at the same time as they have been lying around in my garage for nearly 12 months now.
I must mention that the manifold base-plate that bolts the whole thing to the head has warped slightly (probably from the heat of welding the tubes to it), I had every intention of bending it all straight then maybe getting it skimmed to make perfect but I now have an FZ750 to play with, a TRX850 to sell, a zetec conversion for the Escort to consider & I'm off to look at an early fireblade tomorrow so I'm never going to touch this lot ever again I just know it !
I would like £150 for the manifold & carbs which is peanuts when you consider the amount of work that was involved.
Also for sale for the same reason is my gas flowed cylinder head (early cvh with cross hatching from an RS1600i) which I did myself over several weeks. It's had 3 angle valve seats re-cut, 2 or 3 guides replaced, skimmed, 1 plug hole has been helli-coiled, there are 2 locating dowels in the front face for the exhaust manifold but I can cut these off if you like & in my "unbiased" opinion is a beautiful, stunning work of art.
Inlet through fuel plate.
Another exhaust port.
Before valves were fitted.
Which reminds me, where the valve guides stick out into the ports including all surrounding metal have been flushed with the port walls on inlet & exhaust sides.
Head is complete with valves now which have also been "flowed" which involved the removal of sharp ridges on the back of the heads so they now run fairly narrow seats (approx 2mm).
I have a standard 1600i head you can compare it with if you come to view which I would prefer as I don't fancy posting this.
I would like £150 for the head which has done 5-600 miles since all the work was done so I know it all works.
Next is a genuine RS1600i rocker/cam cover which has been powder coated black & comes complete with silver cap which is specific to this cover (hard to find).
Probably not the best picture, try this one.
The cap is a silver one & not the black one in the 1st picture.
I would like £80.00 for the cover which is less than I paid for it 3 years ago.
Next is a perspex cam-belt cover complete with rubber seal & spacer tubes to stop it from distorting when you bolt it up. I have put a radius on all the sharp edges & polished it which makes it look much better than when it arrived.
(sorry for sideways picture). You can't use the original Ford alternator bracket bolt with this cover fitted. I just shoved a "normal" bolt in its place.
I would like £40 for this & am prepared to post at buyers expense.
I am in Redditch, Worcestershire if you would like to view any of the stuff I'm selling or you can email me; grahambeale@inbox.com
There is more cvh stuff but my typey finger is hurting now so I might try again later or you can just ask to see if I've got what you need ? I have an RS1600i plenum chamber which has been matched to an internally polished, XR4i throttle body (pictured above) £80 for both + numerous other fuel injection bits from early mk3 Escorts.
Sorry if this is all a bit long winded but I thought it better this way than a separate thread for each item ?
