So with the scrap prices buoyant and my boss fed up of mowing around the cars in his garden, something had to give. So of the just shy of 40 cars is to drop to just 12, below I've snuck some pictures of the field of tat. Mk1 ax lives on as a donor for the smurf; A brace of bx estates keep the ax company: Late model squashed french tat (including my xantia that I rolled last year ) The Boss' GSA in starsky and hutch trim finds comfort in branches of a willow tree: More bxs: Ax nightlife, well flattened. Rows of tat, Ax, Bx, Cx, C15 and another Bx and an R5 brings up the rear: Another Gsa hides amongst a myriad of bxs and xantias: A look back at the cx and c15: All have a date with the scrapman and the cx, c15 and both gsas are well beyond saving sadly.

and half the cars could be used by banger racers?? they would probably pay more than the scrap gives at the mo plus you still get to keep most parts (just an idea)

Well most of the bxs don't run for one reason or another, but our place is packed to the rafters with obscure retro spares.

More "progress", thats 6 gone now by my reckoning. Ax pulled from her leafy hideout: Untaxed since 2002, and terminally rotten. I take comfort in knowing she's donating bits to the cause: Bx auto awaits it's fate: Time has long run out for this Gs, the grass is growing through it! Hmm I wonder if it's been hot in there? Bx gets to fly one last time: Ax cruelly mounted by the bx: Patches of dead grass show just how many have been squashed

Sad to see 'em go but sometime,a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.
Everytime I see something like this I get to wondering what an old car like the above might have seen in it's lifetime. Who bought it new and spent hours polishing it? Who did who in the back seat? And so on ;D

Is the CX still there? Series 1 estates like that are VERY thin on the ground and if it's too far gone to save then I know of several people who may take it on to break for parts. Sadly I'm not in a position too or I would! Same goes for the G's.

The cx is still there, its very rotten around the rear strut mounts, indeed it was dumped in the field due to the knackered bodymounts, there is little of the interior left, but if you want to post it up on your cx forum, if there is any interest, I'll pass on details, its a carb model of some description, and has a price of £75 on it's head.

Do me a favour and bosch some pictures of the BXs up on: www.bxclub.co.uk some bits on your cars would probably help some others survive and you'd probably earn a few extra quid yourself if you fancied it.

The scrapman's called again Rotten beige bx estate joins the crunch bunch: Matt blue Cx estate, can you say overhang? Knackered bx auto flanked by probably the rustiest GS ever: Hows that for rat look? 15 Years in a field does funny things to an interior: All loaded, the bx cries it's eyes out at being mounted by a gs: 2 more bxs left today, I was going to get pics, but I'm sure you get the idea by now
