mk1 jetta was completely standard when I got it with a 1.6d engine fitted, I then fitted a modded gtd engine and then
this 2.0 16v 9a engine which was rr'd at 164bhp in my mates motor, pulls like a train this is a really strong engine
in great condition.
mot til sometime in november - can renew at mot cost as it shouldnt fail on anything as everything has been upgraded.

still down as a 1.6d on logbook. can provide a letter form a garage for the new owner to get it changed over
with the dvla,if they wish.
also just had a service
bad bits.
has had a front ender I think at some time as front panel is a little bent and cross member is twisted,
no real problem and mot man said nothing about it as its structually fine. Could easily made to look alot
better just havnt bothered as its more of a racer to me. Shell is very very solid its had no welding that
I can see and ive been over the whole car needs a 2x1cm hole patching up in the boot floor, which I can do,
this also is not a mot issue. the clutch cable started pulling thru the bulkhead a few weeks after I got it
like they all do(surprised it hadnt alreay been replaced lol) so ive stuck and tacked a repair panel over it.
sills, arches everywhere else is solid as a rock, as the first owner has had the shell drilled and wax
coated inside the sills.
Comes on 14x6 steel wheels
fuel pump is a little noisey, been like this for a long time(same one in my previous 2 valvers) puts
out perfect pressure tho, also sounds louder due to been right under the back seats and been stripped out.
I did the simplist engine install for ease and reliability, so has no cold start injector, so when started
u need to keep the revs on or it stalls, however once you have driven about a 100metres or has it held at
2000 revs for about 40 secs its runs perfect.
paint work isnt great but it is 25+ years old and a few dints here and ther, no rust just thin and worn paint and part
resprayed, still polishes up very well tho and adds to the look of the car imo.
this is a very quick car with high power to weight ratio, handles great and gets a **** load of attention.
looking for £1700
possible swap for something aircooled or fast and rwd and cash, either straight swaps or cash my way as I don't wanna put more money out on cars.
