Monstrosity, but for some perverse reason I would love to see one live, and maybe even spend a few days camping with one.

I love em, they use the centre section of the cortina mounted on a chassis and mated to the fiberglass front and rear, so inside the drivers compartment is basically all ford, stock doors are reskinned in fiberglass so they can still rot in places, interiors can be dodgy to say the least depending on who built it, I been keeping an eye out for a shagged one cos I want to remove the camper part and fit it on a 4x4 of some description, I love the shape of the back half.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

Call me silly, but why would you bother changing the doors and front clip to make it look uglier? Surely these would've been more handsome, cheaper to make and easier to repair if the original bodywork had been kept from the B-pillar forward. Other than that I rather like the styling, convert the front end back to Cortina and I would own one.

It's so wrong it's right. At the front it looks like a cortina that's exploded and all the bits have been glued back on not quite in the correct places. It might be a bit under gunned with a 2 litre pinto in it. I imagine a sierra diesel conversion would be worth while if it was to be used a lot. I wonder if it handles like a pig or not.

Other than that I rather like the styling, convert the front end back to Cortina and I would own one. getting rid of the front end would also get rid of a lot of rot, inner and outer wings and door skins and the leading edge of the bonnet went crusty pretty quick on Cortinas as did the base of the windscreen pillars, as its dumped on a seperate chassis and no longer needs the same amount of strength in the shell you could "repair" that with filler, i suspect its more a case though of, "we'll keep the middle bit cos it makes it much cheaper to develop and build so the price can stay realistic and disguise it with our front end and door skins" rather than an attempt to improve the Cortina looks.

There is one of these in Enfield. The company also used to do a pickup using the same idea of cortina cab on a seperate steel chassis. Never seen one of those on the road though. I went to their factory years ago with the view to buying a pickup. When i saw how bad they really were, I didnt bother. Have a brochure somewhere for them. I remember the camper in the showroom though... Also went to look at the Carlton Commando in the same day, which was a far better thing imo.

I've seen the sierra one (usually in bullsmore lane or nightingale rd) there's a pic of it in the spotted thread not seen a cortina one yet

Have to say it looks much better with the twin headlights than the rectanglular vauxhall(?) ones! Its such a great shape (apart from the exploded Cortina bit! ;D), and what a colour combo. Fit a mirror ball and some disco lights - party wagon
