Here we have my Ltd Edition Celebration model Porsche 944 LUX. This Edition is denominated by the option code 757, it has it both in the service manual and in the boot on the VIN sticker. The Car came with the upgrades that the LUX had plus a few extras to make them stand out from the croud. These include the rare 16" teledials, turbo rear splitter, fog lights and driving lights, plus the different cream interior. There were only 1500 of these made 750 in Zerrmatt Silver and 750 in Black.
As you can see from the pictures it is in very good condition for her age (she's 21 now), there are a few paint blemishes in the form of stone chips to the usual 944 areas. There is a very minor dent to the bonnet shown in the fourth picture that is there but never bothered me. There is no rust that I can see on the body or the doors. The last owner had the car waxoiled to preserve her for years to come.
She drives well and pulls cleanly through all the gears, the clutch feels positive and true with no grumbles or judder. There is some very minor transmission noise on the move, but a whisper compared to most this age! The handbrake engages well on holds the car on the steepest of hills.
The engine is strong and revs freely, there are no ominous noises or oil pouring out. She holds coolant and the radiator fan works as it should. The headlights work smoothly and effortlessly. The previous owner had the belts checked and the front oil seals changed.
The wheels are in top condition with no kerbing or oxidizing to the lacquer.
She sits well and even over the wheels and the suspension rides extreemly well, as you would expect from a car of this caliber. I have changed the offside track rod arm and then took the car for a 4 wheel alignment. The previous owner had the steering knuckle joint on the column changed as it was worn.
The interior is (unfortunatly) not the original. The original would have been a tarten cream cloth with cream carpets. Fitted are Porche logo black seats with brand new black carpets. There are in great condition other than the drivers seat which can be seen in the 8th picture, it is a graze that someone has tried to fix that doesn't look bad from a distance but close up could be better. The dash is crack free and all the dials and buttons work as they should, including the digital clock!! The targa sunroof (electric) works well and comes out and slips into the roof cover and clips into the boot. The car has a Sigma alarm fitted with 2 fobs and 2 keys, both fobs work.
The CD player fitted is a Kenwood with Ipod adaptor in the glove compartment. It has quality speakers fitted both front and rear.
The car has a huge file of history including full service history, nearly every mot from new, and most recepts for work done. It has the original service wallet with drivers manual.
Its Taxed until the end of August, and Moy'd until January 2010. Tax is now out. but I can re-tax if required.
Tyres are all good, the fronts are as new and the rears are very good, right sizes too.
I have been honest but the pictures don't do it justice, the car is really and very nice example.
It took me a long time to find this car and I'm sure whoever buys it will not be dissapointed, the reason for selling is we have bought a new build house and don't have the room to park her.
