Mondeo Estate 2002 130PS TDCi £725 Nottingham
Here is my advert for my mondeo - it is just not the kind of car that I like to drive. I will be shopping for a new family car soon and need the cash from this to fund my 309!
Firstly, the bad points:
No MOT - This has run out and the failures were:
1. Some bulbs around the car.
2. Buckled front wheels (was not mentioned when I had the tyres done though?)
3. New rear lower wishbone needed.
4. Excessive emissions.
There are some scratches and other marks around the car, the most noticable of these is the dent on the passenger side rear door from where some nice person slid into me in the snow and drove off...
One of the injectors needs recoding and the car is currently in 'limp' mode so it is not boosting and is a little smoky and sluggish on start - but this clears after a minute or so. the injector recoding tends to cost about £40 at a good mechanics. The injector being sorted and some fuel system cleaner should sort out the emissions according to the MOT man.
Good Points now:
Metallic Black - looks very smart when polished up.
It has the much desired 130PS TDCi engine which is plenty powerful enough to take the car fully laden at motorway speeds up and down the country visiting relatives and frugal with fuel as well!
I have the logbook in my name.
The interior is clean and comfortable but has a small tear on the drivers side rear door but bear in mind that this is my family car.
The mileage is only 113K (approx) and the car still drives very smoothly.
The tyres are really good all round and it has recently had new brakes from Kwik Fit and I replaced the rear pads my self.
It had a full service less than 1500 miles ago and I believe that there is still 10 - 20k before the cambelt needs changing.
CD Player with RDS and a remote on the steering column (I will miss this).
It has a full car handsfree kit for the legendary nokia 6310.
The history of the car is that it was my companies ex pool car and as such was maintained regardless of cost - when it was due to be disposed of, it was offered up to me and it fit the bill at the time. However, the car is just not me, I prefer older and more individual cars.
There is NO MOT or Tax on this car and it is currently declared SORN.
6 Months Tax = £82.50 and 12 Months Tax = £150.00 So very cheap to Tax.
Thanks
Rysz.
