Well I've hit a problem with the smurf, the arches now rest on the tyres, and I don't wanna raise it.
So what are my options? The arch isn't perfectly round but is metal, so could be rolled, but I don't think that'll be enough.
Failling that, is there somebody in the lincs area who is confident with chopping arches about?

I had good results with this lump of nylon, just rolled the car forwards and backwards half a dozen times. Cracked the paint a little, but no worse than when I got the rears professionally rolled!

if its anything like the inners on polos. then i run a bead of silicone sealent round the inside of the bit i wanna roll. then get a rubber mallet and a heat gun/... slowly heat the outide (paint ) and tap the inner... the silicone makes it form gently rather than sharp edges where it creases the paint... if you do it right and spread the heat (don't hold it still too much) then it works with good results ive found.... done it to a few polos front and rear, and i think i did the metro the same way... only problem i remember is trim holes (if they had optional arch trims like polos) then be carefull the silicone doesnt come thru the holes as you hit it. it scars the paint when it heats from the heat gun.....
