The owner did come up to me to ask me something about Ford spares etc, but annoyingly my head being what it is, I cant remember what he called it. It has a Ford 1600 x flow in it now and Anglia rear axle, but he said he originally built it in the early 60's. It has the tranvserse front spring set up, and I suspect a pop rear axle originally. And any takers on this, I know its a Fiat but which model All at Knebworth yesterday.

Hi Ken, The body is a Falcon Mk2 Competition manufactured after Peter Pellandine left Ashley and set up on his own. This body was intended to sit on a space framed chassis and accept 105E running gear but if it had the earlier transverse front end,Ford 10 apparently, then it sounds like it's been updated.
I used to own a Fairthorpe Electron Minor and was in the Fairthorpe Sports Car Club which also catered for the Falcons amongst others and can highly reccomend their annual show at the Cotswold Wildlife Park near Burford. Not a huge show but still a nice little gathering.

Hi Pete cheers for that. The owner came over just as we were all packing up to go home, wanting info on diffs. He said the name of it quickly then went straight into what he wanted. He deffo said he'd had it since the very early sixties. So looking at the reg etc, i suspect it may well have been a long time in building or he's rebuilt it and re reg'd since. Nice looking thing i have to say.
