Just got back from a fortnight in Tenerife and as per usual, Ive got some pics to share.
Sods law dictates that on the times that you don't have the camera with you, the best spots turn up, so here's a list of what I didn't get.
Several E30s and W123s
An E30 M3 in excellent condition.
An immaculate E21
A Merc 250D (same shape as BenzBoy's. W116?)
A Seat 127
A nicely modified Seat 124
A Manta A GTE
& A Peugeot 604.
Hopefully, the pics I did get should make ammends.
E30s were everywhere, but these are the only 2 that I snapped.
Same story with W123s, mostly immaculate. The Wagon was stunning.
Due to the climate out there, trhere's a lot of cars that have survived that have all but gone from UK roads.
The pug was a 504GLD, and while we'e on the subject of Pugs, I saw a few 205's over there
I also saw a few Mk2 Golfs over there, but this Diesel was the only Mk1 tintop, the rest being Cabrios, including one which appeared to be rolling JDM rims, but I missed them all!
There were also plenty of cars we never got in the UK, such as this Twingo (loads of them over there), FIAT 242 Camper, and this SDM* Seat Fura (effectively a more-door FIAT 127)
While we're on the subject of more-doors, the even-more -door Merc had to bee the coolest Taxi on the island.
And talking SDM (Spanish domestic market), this Seat 131 was absolutely spotless.
Twincam + Stance + Rims = WIN
Never seen these rims before, the centrecap says "Bravo"
Saw a few Renault 4s over there, but the F6 vans were everywhere
Good choice of colour on this C15
Not retro, but cool nonetheless
Then there were the one's you didn't expect, like this pair of 2CV-based veteren-alikes. They were publicity vehiocles for the Tenerife kart circuit (highly recommended by the way)
And this Moke
I've never seen these Merc vans with such a short wheelbase
Biggest surprise of the lot, though was this German-registered '51 Chevy, the Stovelbolt six sounded great.
That's all folks.
