Righty, well this weekend, whilst you all were (hopefully) enjoying the Retro Rides Gathering, sadly I was whisked away at the last minute to Prague by my family. I therefore made up for it by taking as many photos as possible of anything I saw of interest. This could take a while...
Firstly, a couple of pics taken the evening of arrival...
Next morning, and we set off round Prague to seehow many retro cars we could find the tourist sights
Skoda:
Citroen:
Segway and vintage car (more of these to come)
Skoda Felicia..
Taxi looked ace... I never saw it carry a fare the whole time we were there...
Bollards...
Another Felicia...
Prague had several Felicias and quite a few vintage cars giving 'city tours' to tourists... absolutely brilliant to see them all plodding slowly round the city
Old, but not car related...
and neither was this balloon... you'd never get me up in one of those things...
Sightseeing car...
And another...
And another...
And another...
A posh Art Gallery...
Hmm.
Back to retro cars, it is that Felicia again... with another vintage car behind it.
View from a church tower...
Not quite my colour...
More sightseeing...
Prague seemed to have more than its fair share of these...
As day turned to evening, people were still mad enough to be up in the tethered balloon...
And as evening turned to night, more interesting cars came out...
'67 mustang, being driven a bit too 'enthusiastically' for my camera to keep up
Party Grill Boats - a BBQ grill in the middle, and you could float around whilst having a grill on the river
And last for that evening, a big old lorry...
Next morning, and the temperatures were heading for the warm side of 30 degrees... they had trucks driving round spraying the roads with water... and guess what turns up again.
Followed by...
An LT carrying a Felicia...
Skoda van...
And more Skodas...
R5...
VERY clean Golf looked rather out of place.
Skoda and plateless Xsara
Pug...
And more Skoda content...
Triple cool points for Fluorescent green wheels...
And another Skoda...
We arrived at the Technical museum...
Not going anywhere in a hurry
Which turned out to be the agricultural museum... having turned the map round the right way, we found the technical museum.
Closed until 2010
Ho Hum. They are meant to have loads of old railway locos and cars in there. Nevermind.
Non stop parking???
Clean Renault was only spotted thanks to the museum being shut...
Rat look in the Czech Republic (part 1)
Metronome on the hilltop overlooking Prague.
Apparently there used to be a statue of Stalin instead, but that was (unsurprisingly) removed.
Coach.
No idea what this was, but it was tiny, loud and smoky.
More to come tomorrow (we're about 1/3 of the way through), when I've had some decent sleep and organised my thoughts a little better... apologies if the content of this post makes sense
