Right then not sure on this one, so wondered if anyone can help?
Side repeaters, is there a legal way of deleting them or are you allowed too?
It's an F reg car.
If not would deleting them and fitting motorbike mirrors with the flashers in on the doors be legal?
Thanks in advance folks.

I know that some cars from japan don't have them, but they have a bulge in the front indicator to make them legal. example :

Depends on the car - if the front lights carry round the side sufficiently, you should be OK, but it's arguable. To be safe, side repeaters on mirrors, or even in the front door windows will do the trick.

heh heh, I'd go for putting it in the door shut so the shut line illuminates...... not sure what sort of output you need for motworthyness though.

I removed them from my 1990 Volvo Estate six years ago, the holes are still there and I've never been pulled up on at MOT time or on the road (this in no way means it's legal...)

I replaced the front wings on my 1988 pre facelift merc 190 2.6 with genuine merc items. It was only when i got them back from the painters that a realised they had no holes for the side repeaters!!!! LOL I just bolted them on and tucked the wiring for the repeaters out of the way. The car has passed 2 MOT's now without even a mention of it have no repeaters. The car looks so much nicer without them
