These are truly horrifying yet hilarious at the same time. I hope none of your cars are in there, if they are, I'd like to say that I have nothing to do with this site, I just like it. www.stupidnorthernmonkey.co.uk

The new City Rover is a candidate for worlds worst car. I saw it at the motor show and felt quite sorry for the poor rover dealers who have to sell it. It hadn't even had the cigarette lighter pinched!

It got really panned in last week's Sunday Telegraph. the journo said he hadn't seen such bad build quality since a Commie-era Lada.
Can't understand why anyone would buy one - they're obviously sh1te and make a Daewoo Matiz look desirable.
I've a couple of mates who have just bought Rover 75s - not bad cars, but just hope they can get spares in a few years - wouldn't have been me.

Back to the main subject - how about a lovely Hindustan Contessa? Basically an FE Victor with a 1950s BMC B-Series 1500 engine under the bonnet. Or the Dacia Denem, a Romanian built Renault 12 with all the build quality of a wet paper bag. Vaguely remember a Polish horror called the Syrena, as well.

Citröen ZX. Call that a gearbox? Plus any car that replaces driver competency with electronics. Oh, and the plastic bits in my 240 brick. Yuk. Worse than throw away cutlery!

I would just like to point out to Fredi that the Seyena was actually quite cool. Infact that goes for most Eastern European cars, when you consider how little money they had to develop their cars and yet they were still sucessful. Look at Skoda, did you know they recieved less funding for ralling in 70's/80's and yet through-out that time they managed to hammer Fords which had millions of pounds worth of funding.
Also and probably most importantly, Eastern European cars have character, which is far more important than whether it has central locking a big boom system or how fast it goes.

My dad owned an Aussie assembled Leyland Marina that I had the misfortune to drive.... his one was the 2.6l straight six model, had the handling abilities of a frightened kitten on a greasy lino floor, his one was packing nearly 200hp thanks to some head mods, triple SUs, extractors, exhaust etc etc.... quite a scary car really, all that power put to the ground via 185mm Dunlop Aquajets. He actually taught me to do skids in that car at around age 10....
That was surely one of the worst cars ever....

The PXT phone picture is probably saving our eyes from the true horror of those things.
There should be a law against that kind of thing ;D

Reminds me of a car I saw a few years ago, when the Mk6? Escort (the one with the oval grille) hadn't been out long. Someone had tried to update their earlier model.... with a piece of plywood with an oval hole in it stuck over the grille.....

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.
