Any help with this would be much appreciated. In process of swapping the the 2.25 diesel in my series 3 for a 2.5 diesel from a 90. having a problem with the left engine mount as its fouling the fuel pump. Any advice how to resolve this can be resolved? Cheers Pete

Seem to remember that one way around this is to the find the timing belt case and cover from the LDV400 that featured the 2.5 Land Rover red block lump - sure the pump is a little higher on that engine and thus not fouling the mount.

it should be a straight swap using the engine mount from the 90 that goes under the fuel pump.

Been doing a bit more research on this since original post, apparantly the 2.25 diesel is a J10 engine while the 2.5 is a J12 engine. the J12 does have a lower fuel pump so its unfortunately not a straight swap into a series 3 like mine.
Apparantly there is a J15 version of the J12 with a higher mounted fuel pump used in some 80's sherpa's and some black cabs but this isn't waterproof like the J12 so would reduce mud plugging ability!
so looks like i'm going to have to fabricate a new engine mount. Wish I'd done a bit more research before starting as the 200TDI from the disco seems an easier and more popular swap, ah well, hindsight is wonderful!
