Been trying to touch in a section on my matt black capri and having trouble. The first time the paint reacted and went 'white' in certain areas and patchy as hell, so I flatted it all back re primed it tryed again, this time the paint went on so rough you wuoldnt believ it, I brushed past it once it had hardened and it took some skin off my knuckles! It also went slihgtly 'white; in a small area. Is it dodgy paint or conditions? When it went on rough ithe can and the panel where nice and warm but it was in direct sunlight. Ive now flatened the rough paint down so its all smooth but its very patchy so Id like to do it again but don't want to waste any more time/money ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)

It wasn't H*lf*rds paint was it? They seem to go through phases of using cheap thinners in their aerosols - sometimes it's fine, but buy another can three months later and it's awful! Not just the matt black either - all their paints are 'vulnerable' to reactions, etc.

did you wipe down the panel with a degreaser before spraying? i find this helps minimise reactions

going white sounds like bloom to me, a reaction due to the humidity in the air possibly, or damp conditions where you are spraying?
