Sorry no pics guy's it's not happening for me at the moment.
What are opinions on these old beasts in tourer spec? With a stick adjustmenet and some attitude are they a giggle to drive or seriously thirsty and lacklustre compared to the 2.5?
Any ifo or pics greatly recieved. ;D

The 2.0, with 123-127BHP generally has equivalent, or worse, economy compared to the 2.5 - which spins out 168-171BHP...
Here are the figures from the factory handbook (56/75mph)
320: 38.2/30.7 325: 42.8/34.4
Having recently done a painstaking journey at those speeds over a 90 mile stretch, I can tell you that they are attainable! In daily town/some motorway work I average about 28mpg out of my 325i (manual), if I'm spending more time sat on the motorways cruising at legal speeds I tend to better that slightly - more like 31-33mpg.
Obviously if you go around everywhere with your foot planted it is considerably less....
When you compare the difference in power between the two engines (40 odd bhp), you can see that the 325i is the one to go for - because with the 2 litre the danger is that you instantly end up wanting more power, but have to put up with economy that is equivalent or less than the big six anyway....

Ah cheers for that info.
It's only as a second car so needs to be cheap as chips, main use for now will be for hauling whilst refurbing the house i am buying, it will then gain retro duties, seen as i plan to bin the interior i want to go hard slam big wheels pro touring look and maybe track day it just for giggles. Will be a good camping hauler for the shows with no comfort whatsoever. ;D

Cool - they're great bits of kit. Check for when the waterpump and cambelt/tensioner was last done, as that's the real weakpoint (unless you're willing to do it yourself, on the basis of no evidence that it's been done previously. It's not too bad but it ain't a fun job).

I always though the 2.0 sounded nicer and went OK in the light E30 shell- the 2.5 cracks heads too. And you'll always want more power, no matter what you get ;D
