ive removed the entire running gear from my dolomite in preparation for a different engine if i could get £140 for all of it then i can buy a bellhousing for the conversion ;D (located in newcastle upon tyne but delivery could possibly be negotiated if i have a car available at the time)
i have a 1500 engine,,
10tho regrind on the crank (needs another grind)
head gasket gone
excellent condition valves/seats
20thou overbore on the bores with matching pistons(i fitted standard size rings on all pistons the wrong way up on 2 cylinders so it had a mpg for oil)
has dolomite flywheel
it did run but would boil over due to the head gasket ,,,otherwise was quite torquey
as pic but dizzy has no contact breakers
next is a 1500 overdrive gearbox
first gear used to rattle slightly all other gears silent
no reverse gear
overdive works as it should appart from sticking on when hot
1500 O/D propshaft
no play in spiders
center bearing smooth
no vibration was noted
1500 axle with 1850 diff
3.63 ratio diff with no whining
good condition drum brakes (handbrake was very effective)
1850/sprint radiator
no leaks and good condition fins,,,needs the HG failure gunge cleaned out
3 dolomite/toledo wheels 4.5jx13 (3.75 pcd) one has decent tyre,,other is still legal but is badly scrubbed
2 spitfire wheels same as above but less offset and both have good 165/80/13 tyres
1300/1500 full exhaust with a spare 4/2/1 cast manifold
rear section is a pattern stainless steel item,,mid section is a pattern mild steel item that is still useable,,cast manifold needs studs fitted
1500 OD subframe
very oily small rusty pinholed area very straight
i also have a 1500 engine completely stripped for rebuild (spitfire flywheel )
