Hallfrauds do sell it, but they are w@nkers and it's over priced. You can get it on ebay for about £3 a tube which will probably do all four wheels. That's uncalled for and very, very offensive. Especially when the post before yours was made by someone who works there and given the amount of other employees on this site. Wow, Really, really sorry you guys (and gals?) that work at halfords. I had a few tins after posting that. I actually use halfords a lot for loads of stuff. My apologies.

I'm guessing he's bought quite high profile period looking tyres which do work out dear these days, as everyone else wants low profile jobs, the older style tyres are harder to find cheap, i hope they have raised white letters on, vans on slot mags need raised white lettering.

Right well I have budgeted £150 each for the tyres knowing they would be hard to find and I may have to import some from the states to get the look I want, so with shipping and customs charges I think £150 is about right. However, I thought I would try my local indy tyre centre as they are know me and understand my needs but they cant get me the tyres I am after from their normal distributor. They aren't willing to risk getting some from a distributor they don't use often incase I don't like them and they cant send them back (fair enough) So now am looking to get some myself for them to fit. They have said I can have them delivered to the tyre centre to save me taking delivery at home. I didn't ask but I'm sure they'd be ok holding some cash for me incase I get some from abroad and they have to pay customs charges on delivery. Now, my first stop is google, I am trying to remember the vintage and special tyre shop that featured in PPC or Retro cars a couple of years back, they had a Fraiser Nash (I think, or was it a GN?) and a model T with a stuffed fox tied to the front...... anyone remember? ?

I had discounted MTs as I thought they would be too expensive and unobtainable and not sure the load index is up to my needs. But It looks like they are quite affordable and may be available in the UK However I have found Northhants tyres to be a good source. www.northhantstyres.com/RTS%20final/2156014.htm

I wanted the same thing on my slots but just couldn't afford the prices ( already spent more than I wanted to on the wheels and PCD changes) so I found some 205/60/13 Hankooks on ebay - three for 50 quid deliverd ;D. I just got a tyre marker pen and hey presto - they look the ticket. I'm not happy with the front's but that's becasue I ran out of money and had to by the ones up from budget. My point wasn't to annoy you though - on getting the new tyres on the front I was talking about the rears tyres and the bloke said he could get them new for 58 quid. He's situated all the way down in Cornwall but it just goes to show you don't know what people can get hold of until you ask face to face. The place is called MJB tyres in StEarth and the bloke is called Andy. If he doesn't do deliveries then maybe he can tell you his supplier?

Well I got the tyres ans studs....
Took them all down to the tyre shop to have them fitted up.
Lo and behold the fecking wheel studs are not the standard type. intstead of being 7/16" unf they are 14 x 1.5mm
I phone ABC and they told me that MURVI changed the studs to suit their wolfrace slots they fitted to the van as part of the conversion.
So now I am stuck,
ABC told me they could send me some 7/16" UNF studs but wern't sure if they would go into the hubs (they are splined with a tapered end and go in from the back)

Well, the proper sized nuts arrived today. Like a kid at Christmas I got down and started to fit the front nearside. Yeah right. The hub centres on the front hubs are too big by 1.6mm to fit inside the hub centre on the wheel I need to get the wheels machined out to suit. The rear hub centre is too small for the rear wheels. I am hoping that the taper washers will centre the rear wheels but I don't feel comfortable with that idea. Add to that the fact that the studs are too long meaning the (domed) nuts bottom out on them, meaning really I need to get spacers too, either that or grind the studs down a little. What a pain in the ... However It will be soooooo worth it... Wanted : flared cf arches.
