Well other than the sunburn all I can say is ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
What an awesome day, the Germans are truly nuts, imagine building Glasto festival around the ring and your probably not far off. Crazy camps with home made bars built on top of scoffolding so you can see the race, party tents, paddling pools and enough beer to drown a country!
Hard to explain it really but for anyone who likes cars, camping or beer (or all of them ) it is a must do before you die event - and cos its mostly in the woods if your a cheapo you can even sneek in for free but I did pay in the end!
Really do need another battery for my camera as I could have taken a million photos and still not have a photo of everything I saw
The classic race is held on 2 days (Friday and Sat) and both races are 3hrs long, so its a properly good race with over 50 cars on the grid so even on the 15mile long Ring (F1 and northloop) theres always a car to watch

So as I was limited to only one camera battery I concentrated on what I like best, classic race cars on the limit ;D
Mk2 Escort chased by a lovely Mustang
914 Porsche and Alfa GT Junior
BMW M1 - eventual winner, you wouldn't believe how fast this thing was, would easy have given the cars in the 24hr race something to think about!
911 and Renault Alpine
Mk2 Escort again
Beautiful Mk1 Escort - sounded amazing
Fiat 850 Abarth I think?
Another Mustang
Couple more 911's, this times RS's which were not hanging about and were fighting all the way ;D
A tiny bit of the crowd - what you can see is the mad camp site exstending back out into the woods, there was an old fire engine in there somewhere providing power for one of the outdoor bar/discos
Alfa Sud chased by a little Audi 50
Gorgeous E-Type, got some vid of this to come
Another 911 RS (in Pink!) chased by a 968
Very quick Sirocco
Stunning Mk2 Jag
Renault 5 Turbo
Another E-type, there were 4 in all including a lightweight!
Mk1 on the Karossel
Can't have a classic race without a mini - this one was being driven by some crazed mad man, it was 4 wheel drifting everywhere!
Another Mk1
so that's it for the photos, time to bring some life to the race ;D
