My daughter will be 17 soon and is dying to get a car. I asked he what kind of car she wanted....... Then she pulls out this months Practical Performance Car and said "One of those!" It was the Reliant Kitten Feature!! I asked if she was sure She said she didn't want a "modern piece of curse word" or " a Chavvy Barryboy car" I'm so proud of her!!!! I'm not getting her one till she's 17 though because I remember only too well what it's like to own a car at that age, have it sitting in your driveway and then your parents curse word off for a weekend. Too much temptation!

Current vehicle collection: 2006 Saab 9-3 Aero convertible - in mid-life crisis yellow No new retro as yet ... all attempts to sneak one onto the drive have failed.

If she is at all a girl, you have to make her a pink one with furry seat covers, pink steering wheel and lots of shiny bits, and some "Hello Kitten" Hello Kitty rip off vinyl.

Somone asked if I hoped my two-year-old would inherit my "enthusiasm" for my Metro Turbo.
God, I hope not.

at least she wont spend weekends trying to cure rust issues!
Good lass! I did well with my missus, when I met her she was 17 and wanted a Corsa, when she passed her test a few years later, she insisted on a mk2 Fiesta just like mine! So not all bad! Retro is the way fwd!

Reliant Kittens are good. Great, strong engine, very quality chassis and construction. The bodies were the let down for Reliant: They were not very pretty in shape.

Her older Auntie (26) is well into the modified car scene up here and she has spent a lot of time with her so I suppose she's been exposed to the modern tat side of things a bit too much. She has OD'd on seeing bodykitted Corsa's etc all the time. She likes the idea of the Kitten because (Her words)- "It won't rust, it'll be cheap to insure, it's different to the usual stuff and I* can always fit a Pinto when I get older ;D" *She means ME!!
